[Group] Beijing Aikang Group in Rapid Progress Leaning Administration Method from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital

  June 25th, 2015 - Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) is the model of China's contemporary medical management. "Systematization of management", "tabulation of system" and "computerization of sheets" are the essence of the reasonable management experience of Formosa Plastic Group and also the magic weapon for CGMH to gain the competitive advantages. Therefore, on June 14th, 2016, Dr. Dong Wang led senior executives of subsidiary hospitals to visit Taiwan for a one-week exchange and investigation. The entourages of this visit included Dong Du, Group Vice-President and Vice-President of Infrastructure Department, Wu'er Li of Group Executive Vice President, Guannan Wang, Vice-President of Investment and Managing Director of the Group, Yonghong Lv, President of Huangshi Aikang Hospital and Liyan Li Dean of the hospital, Ming Lei, President of Yueyang Aikang Hospital, Zhiguo Yang, President of Pufang Hospital, Chibi City, and other senior executives of the groups and subsidiary hospitals. The whole team received the warm welcome from and had in-depth exchange with President Dai of Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.

  Visit and Learning in CGMH

  Through this visit, we are deeply aware of the advance management pattern of CGMH and fully understand about the way of management that success comes from the management of quality. The hospital shall put patients as the first consideration, keep on pursuing high-quality human-oriented medical services, pay close attention and protect patient's privacy and let patients feel being respected at all time. This exchange and investigation will bring revolutionary changes to the development of Beijing Aikang Group. And we believe that the all of the participants of this visit will use the advanced management and service philosophies learned from this exchange and investigation to their daily management work and jointly provide more human-oriented medical services for the public in the development of the Group.

  Since the 80s of last century, hospitals in Taiwan have undergone three times of remarkable transformation, one for the change of development strategies, one for the change of hospital management philosophy and the rest for the change of medical service philosophy. In comparison with Taiwan, China Mainland has not yet established a medical insurance system covering all of its people. And the medical payment system is also mainly dominated by fee-for-service. Quality medical resources are in great shortage. It's very clearly that China Mainland is behind Taiwan for one phase and in rapid medical resource expansion.



Visit and Learning in CGMH

  Doctor Delang Wu, the chief consultant of CGMH, recalled the three core ideas of Yong-Qing Wang to establish hospitals, which were to have the largest medic scale, to mainly service people from the mid- and low-class and to have academic study abilities, and those ideas would be integrated into the corporation management model of Formosa Plastics Group. CGMH was positioned as a non-profit private hospital at the beginning of corporation so as to realize the goal of popularization medical and providing enough, economic, low-cost and good quality medical services to benefit the ordinary citizen. Under the guidance of "human oriented" spirit, CGMH keeps on improving its operation procedures and system to create many precedents for the medical sector, including no bribery and no hospitalization deposit, implements the service philosophy of patient first and overall systemization and informationization management at the same time and thus becomes the new management model for Taiwan hospitals.

  In Aikang, we always stress that "faith" is the foundation of the hospital and an important measure to satisfy patients and improve the competitiveness of the hospital. "Faith" is a pre-condition when we recruit staff. No one can break the rule, which is the soul of our system management.

  We build a correct scientific profit view. Although profit is not what the hospital pursues, the hospital cannot develop without profit. Sourcing and cost control are the key actions the hospital takes to guarantee profit. There are strict procedures and regulations on the procurement and contract conclusion of business transactions including medicines, equipment, devices and other supplies. And those transactions are under the independent supervision from the supervision department.

  Aikang is a big family and "family" culture is what we are building now. Through a series of activities including regulatory morning meetings, afternoon meetings, free lunch, idea exchange among staff, annual outward experience and travel, holiday gifts, birthday gifts, midyear meetings, year-end meetings and recognition events, we try our best to build the collective view and view of honor in Aikang. Those values slightly and silently change Aikang people just like "quietly pervasive rain in the Spring and warming up people bit by bit".
